Lee Buddle

Lee is a multi-instrumentalist playing saxophones, flutes, recorders and various ethnic and percussion instruments with the ability to cover performance styles including jazz, big band, folk, classical and contemporary music. He performs regularly with Nova Ensemble, The Windcheaters, City of Perth Jazz Orchestra, Indian Ocean Unit and the West Australian Philharmonia, as well as doing casual work with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

He has composed music for puppetry, theatre, dance, film and concert, and has also acted in a number of productions for Deck Chair Theatre.

For many years Lee has run his own digital/analogue recording studio, Soundmine Studios, to provide a cost effective facility for musicians and arts companies including Nova, Magnetic Pig, Chrissie Parrott Dance Company and Black Swan Theatre.

Lee has been a key composer, performer and board member of Nova Ensemble since 1989.
